Melrose is a privately owned Care Home providing nursing for the elderly, in Worthing, West Sussex. Melrose is the only Nursing Home in the area currently assessed as ‘Excellent’ by Care Quality Commission and awarded the top accolade of 3 stars. Further recognition of our excellence is the Help the Aged Quality Hallmark, Accreditation in the Gold Standards Framework for End of Life Care and we have recently been Highly Commended at the Worthing Business Awards.
Our dedicated team of Registered nurses, carers and housekeeping staff undergoes regular updating and training, ensuring a high quality, professional approach to all aspects of care.
There is a wide range of activities on offer daily, and residents are encouraged to keep involved in the hobbies they enjoyed before admission, such as gardening/flower arranging or arts and crafts. There is a computer available for residents to use and even regular computer lessons for anyone who wants to improve their computer skills or take up surfing the net!
In the kitchen, freshly cooked food is prepared daily, using locally bought meat, fruit and vegetables. The residents’ input is important to us when the excellent team of cooks re-design the menus; all diets are catered for.
Visitors are welcome at all times and family and friends are encouraged to take an active part in the life of the home.
In spite of the excellent quality, we remain one of the most competitively priced nursing homes in the area.
