Accomodation

We offer accommodation for 20 residents, in a lovely Victorian building. Because Melrose is not purpose built, we offer a homely, not clinical atmosphere. Each room has it's own individual character. Most have large, bay windows making them light and airy.

Nearly all our residents benefit from en suite facilities, and all have private washing facilities and a colour television. There are two double rooms, suitable for couples or sharers, both of these have en suite facilities. Residents are encouraged to bring smaller items of personal furniture and effects which have sentimental significance and give a more personal touch to the room. Each room is equipped with a fully monitored nurse call system and we have a full range of specialist nursing equipment  to suit our residents' particular needs.

For communal activities, there is a large sitting room and a dining room  which residents are encouraged to use. However, should any resident prefer to have meals in their room, this is fine, too.

During warmer weather, residents can enjoy the fresh seaside air in our lovely garden.
